chickens, chickens, chickens, chickens

Last night I went over to the tallest lady I know house.
It was fun.

and in the morning ... I met the chickens.

I love their strange noises.
And their delicious, delicious eggs.

Before the bunny came ...

There was some goings on last night ...
We started at this girl's lovely new home.

...and I was seriously contemplating running away with the dog.

Then there was a band .... The Sapsuckers

Happy Easter

Bp - Faked!

Very unhappy with this morning's photos .... so instead here's a photo of me enjoying my breakfast in Vegas a few months ago.
I miss you huevos rancheros!

So many movies to see ...

I've recently seen some terrible, terrible movies .... but it looks as though there is hope

Keeping It Kosher

The talented lady isn't in town, much less this frozen country very often so when she does drop by it's worth making the extra effort of sneaking away with the car and driving 3 hours to see her.

The fact that she was in town for passover and I've held honorary Jew status at the big Seder event for the past 3 years, and brisket would be involved also had a little something to do with it.

In all seriousness I do actually really like chopped liver.

Sam was all koshered out early in the night, which left me no option but to play with my new dresses.

The blue dress has a life of its own. I call it my Joan dress.

Bp - Jew-ish

The morning after the Seder night before.
Even a mean brisket-hangover couldn't keep me from enjoying the fabulous Australian Mother's french toast matzah & smoked salmon.
Oh, and the hand you see in the background belongs to my beautiful and talented friend who also happens to also be the marmalade girl.

The girl with the glasses would be me - and the smoked salmon on my fork would be delicious.

BP

In a hurry - I'm off to the city to stuff myself with gefilte fish and matzah balls ...
But first zee breakfast!
Both yesterday & today's breakfasts came courtesy of other people's efforts.
What is the best part of being a grown up? Why it's being allowed to eat ice cream for breakfast! My friend  gave me a little gift ... the best gift of all ... Pomegranate Frozen Yogurt, Orange Popsicle / Vanilla Bean / and Green Tea ice cream.
Yeah - it tasted much much much better than the photo.

Dad's cookies for breakfast!

Now to get my jew on!

Bp - Marmalade Conquered!

As a child I always loved Paddington Bear more than Winnie the Pooh. Paddington would always have a nice little marmalade sandwich and go off on wonderful little journeys by himself in big rubber boots and ... Pooh, well he would just sit around and eat and eat and eat. I always wanted to like marmalade, but it's never tasted good in my mouth until now.

One of my favourite people in the world currently lives in England and the last time I saw her she gave me a jar of some fancy British marmalade. After she left I crossed my fingers and made myself some toast ... and... well ... the jar has sat in my fridge forgotten until now. This morning I learned the trick - strong tea. Marmalade tastes quite good if you wash it down with some strong tea.
So Paddington - let's do breakfast!

Back in the days when I wasn't so fond of marmalade.

Sundays are for side roads

This is my friend Pat.

We went for a little drive today and we learned that people from around these parts are a good shot.

We also found an old abandoned house, so I went inside and took a peak.

Pat stayed outside because he was nervous the floor might give out ... he was right - it was more shaky than I would admit.

And then we saw the saddest thing of all ...

Bp

Friday
When the morning comes after a night of 3 bottles of wine and some strange bright green mixture of vodka and evil leprechaun juice your breakfast looks a little something like this.

Saturday
Good news! I have a job.
Bad news - I almost slept in.
No photo.
xo.

Sunday
Bacon .... mmmmmm ... bacon

B.P.

I'm going to apologize ahead of time to the Swedish for the egg porn ;)

Eggs are far more delicious when paired with music...

The Breakfast Project

I can't take credit for this idea .... it's been done a million times before on a million better photo blogs .... however being unemployed allows you certain luxuries, like long drawn out breakfasts, so I thought I would share.

I call this the citrus extravaganza.
