That Was That - Florida

This is it.
The last few photos of our last few days in the sun.
We went for a victory lap of our favourite places.

Spanish moss.
The world needs more of it.

.

Oh how those cafe cubanos from Little Havana are dearly missed.

Ever notice how everything tastes better when you play with your food?
They also make a killer key lime pie at The Rustic Inn

Since we had early morning flights back to the North there was no need to sleep the night before, instead we went for one last visit to Laser Wolf ... try their zombie brew.

And that was that.

Mad Women - Key Largo

Too many days in suburbia call for an escape.

There.
Now isn't that a little better?

We headed as far South down the coast as we could.

And then we went snorkeling in Key Largo.

We had the best Captain.
He played Graceland radio all afternoon long.
It was just the 5 of us out there on our little boat.
One of the spots we visited was called "Christ of the Abyss".
It is one of the creepiest and most beautiful things I've ever seen.

Afterwards we celebrated with a little indulgence.

And then Kat made off like a mad woman.

Setting Fire to Our Insides for Fun - Miami

You'll just have to trust me when I say that Saturday night out and about in South Beach was a lot fun. I took a bunch of photos with my disposable camera, but after no word from Shoppers for two weeks I am very worried the little guy has run off on another adventure. Fingers crossed this isn't true. My heart will be broken if my Key Largo photos have vanished.

Anyway.
Here are a few photos of the morning after the big night before...

First food ....

... then a nap.

Walk back to the car....

... search for more food.

I went to school in Cuba for a little while back in university.
I loved the island.
Unfortunately the food around the university was nothing special.

The food at Versailles is very special.

Cross your fingers my camera shows up soon.

Good Bye Snow. Hello Sunshine. - Wynwood

There was only the slightest of hiccups in the beginning.
A cancelled flight here, a few hours of delay there, a bit of rerouting, and
then a deplaning to cap it all off ... but despite it all I kept my cool the whole
way through because I knew one thing.
And that one thing kept me smiling.
It was all alright because  at the end of the day I would be in Florida and
there would be sunshine and palm trees, and that's more than enough for me.

We started by spending a lot of time wandering around Wynwood

And during our wanderings we just happened to find a place with free beer, so of course we followed the strangers inside. I'm glad we did. There are lots of good people sharing great ideas and working together at The LAB Miami

Sorry the photos aren't all lignin up properly, my computer is being a rebel.
