Take Away the Honey of Money, and Leave Me the Sin. - NYC

Someone hopped on a plane with me for the first time a Friday night or two ago.

It was their very first American visit.
There may have been a little excitement, but you would never know it to look at him.

The chilly midnight rain that welcomed us both to New Jersey and New York was no match - Times Square was immediately visited, photographed, and conquered. Even closed subway lines, late night detours, forgotten memory cards (sorry for so many grainy photos) and the final mad key hunt at the top of our sixth floor walk up couldn’t get someone's spirits down.

It was all worth it in the end, we woke up to a pretty view of the Williamsburg Bridge and a fire escape cigarette.

Over the following two days we crossed over bridges ...

... wandered all over the city .....

... and devoured amazing things.

Every night ended with a stumble home through Brooklyn followed by too many stairs ...

... but there was never too much cussing because after the climb there was always this to see...

The two days flew by far too quickly.

Where Have All the Pretty Little Flakes Gone?

First there was December ….

….. but you would hardly know it was winter if you looked around the city.

And so, for Christmas I brought not one, not two, but three Irishmen home to the county for a little winter.

Rocks were thrown through the ice, menacing snowballs hit their targets, and mulled wine was enjoyed late into the night.

Then there was January …..

This lady took part in a really fun show ....

February it's time for you to work your magic.

Busy Tomorrow? - New York City

Grab an old friend and run away for the day, go somewhere big and fancy.
A boat, a plane, and then finally a train will take you where you should be going.

Who cares if the sun decides to hide the Dakota was never meant to be cherry, besides jealous clouds can never truly take away Central Park's infamous beauty.

Walk around, and around...

then take the C line down...

Soho will beckon you to come in and relax.

A glass of wine here, and another one there, suddenly the cold rain doesn't bother.

Share a few rounds and watch strangers turn to friends....

Share a few more ...

Until ....

Superstar status secured, run along and leave the city.
Clean yourself up because it's time to go home, the airport never closes.
